Kick OBS Tools: Alerts and Widgets Setup Guide

Kick OBS tools turn chat and channel events into elements on your stream. BOT4U widgets are added to OBS as browser sources. Each widget has its own link and settings, so you can position chat, goals and alerts independently.

Choose a widget for your stream

Choose alerts, chat overlay, subscriber goal, follower goal or KICKs goal from the widget gallery. Emoji combos, screen emojis, event labels, viewer count and subathon tools serve other stream needs. Access depends on plan settings; check which features your account can use in the dashboard.

Add the widget URL to OBS

Generate and copy the OBS link on the widget’s settings page. Add a Browser source in OBS, paste the link into its URL field and set dimensions that fit your scene. The widget link is private to your channel. Do not share it in chat; after rotating it, update the URL in your OBS source.

Enable the Kick alerts you want

Configure follows, new subscriptions, renewals, gifted subscriptions and KICKs separately in Alert Studio. Alerts start disabled. Choose the message, layout, animation and sound, then enable the event type. Test on Site previews the draft appearance; Test in OBS checks delivery to the connected source.

Chat overlay and visual styling

In the chat overlay, new messages appear at the bottom and older messages move upward. Use the badge visibility option for a simpler chat layout. Use the CSS selectors documented on each widget page in the OBS browser source’s Custom CSS field to change text, colors and backgrounds. Each browser source has independent CSS settings.

What to check if a widget does not appear in OBS

Confirm that the source is visible and its URL is current. Check whether the alert type and widget are enabled; some tools appear only after an event. Try the live preview and OBS test separately. For layout issues, inspect the browser source dimensions and any crop applied in OBS.
