Kick Bot Setup: Chat Commands and Streamer Dashboard

A Kick bot responds to chat messages and helps enforce channel rules. BOT4U brings commands, timers, moderation and OBS widgets into one Kick streamer dashboard. This guide explains the initial connection and what to check if your bot does not reply.

1. Open the dashboard with your Kick account

Use the login link to sign in with your Kick account. Approve the requested permissions on the authorization screen; missing permissions prevent setup from completing. Check that the dashboard shows the right channel. BOT4U is independent of Kick, and you do not enter your Kick password into BOT4U.

2. Give the BOT4U account moderator access

Run /mod BOT4U in your channel chat. Refresh the connection status on the Chat Bot page and test the bot. A successful test message confirms that the account can send messages; test real chat commands separately. If the bot is disabled, automatic command replies will not be sent.

3. Create your first custom command

Choose a command name and response in Commands. For example, use !social for your social media link. Select who can use it and set global and per-user cooldowns. Save it and try it in Kick chat. Permissions, cooldowns and plan limits can affect whether a command runs.

4. Configure built-in commands

Manage built-in commands such as !points, !level, !rank, !top, !commands and !uptime from the Commands page. !top shares your public leaderboard, while !uptime reports stream duration. Replies use the channel’s selected language. Disable built-in commands you do not want to use.

If a command does not receive a reply

Check that the bot is enabled, the command is saved and its permissions allow the sender. Commands repeated during a cooldown may not produce a reply. Messages from the bot account itself are excluded to avoid loops. If the connection test works but commands do not, the chat webhook and worker processing also need to be checked.
